NGA MARINE SERVICES SARL – GABON GOES OPERATIONAL 13/10/2023
On 13th. of October 2023, we marked a new milestone in the 28-year-old history between
NGA Marine Services LTD and Tidewater Marine International. In effect, three ABs, and
two Cadets Officers from NGA’s Gabon holding company accompanied by Mr. Gregory
Alem, F.I.C.S, Managing Director, and Ms. Sono Line Marcy Felicite. Gabon’s Office
Administrative Assistant joined the MV Pacific Griffon and MV Gubert Tide at the Port
Gentil oil logistics terminal.
During the maiden onboarding process on the MV Pacific Criffon, Mr. Gregory Alem,
F.I.C.S paid a courtesy on Master Capt Stephen Rowlands. During an exchange of views,
Capt Stephen acknowledged that Tidewater Marine International continues to maintain its
ascendency in the offshore marine support industry. Acquiring OIL/OSA Marine,
Seacor/Seabulk, Pacific Swire Offshore, and other lesser-known competitors in the Gulf
of Mexico within a 30-year span. As such both concluded that it is always a privilege to work with a global founder and leader of an industry that innovates and sets standards. The Master pledged to nurture seafaring talents wherever they come from, before posing for a picture to immortalize the groundbreaking event.

On the MV Gubert Tide on the same jetty, an event of similar importance was unfolding.
Two Cadet Gabonese Officers Nganga Frederice. H and Lembouma Samba Vitali were
signing on to begin their cadetship training for a maritime service career. The event further
demonstrated Tidewater’s resolve to partner with the local communities in resolving youth
unemployment through knowledge and skills building.
At the same time, it dispelled perceptions that Gabonese nationals do not fancy working
on oil and gas industry supply vessels. Welcoming them on board, were the vessel
officers, Chef Vero Zuma for and Coxswain Essingila Molindo Daniel. All promised to
integrate them into the team as vessel work requires a family setting to be successful.

Cadet officers Ferbrice and Vitali relax with Chef Vero.
