NGA MARINE SERVICES LTD REACHES ANOTHER MILESTONE
For Immediate Release
Midday on 27 August 2026 marked another milestone in NGA Marine Services LTD's 34-year history. Taking over the officer complement of the Autonomous Port Authority of Douala (PAD) flagship dredging asset, MV Mont Mandara, with its multinational officers of the ‘record’ complement being: Capt. Andrei, Chief Mate Dukov, Chief Engineer Valerii, and Dredging Superintendent Samuel, it is now evident that NGA has the time-tested knowledge and material resources to fulfil a vessel owner's or management company's requirements for a complete vessel crew, from Master to galley or gangway ordinary seaman. Thus, other horizons open for its commitment to knowledge development, training, certification, mentoring, and career management for our youths interested in maritime trades at the highest level.

Welcoming the seasoned officers to the Wheelhouse, the Dredging Unit Management team, headed by its Manager, Mr. Nchechuma Banla Pius, welcomed their arrival as a new dawn in Cameroon's ship manning industry.
He urged NGA Marine Services LTD to take the humane treatment, training, mentorship, and restoration of hope for youths desirous of making a career at sea to the next level. He also revealed that the company has a long history in the Ship Manning Office industry in Cameroon, serving industry leaders such as Tidewater Marine Inc., Maersk Supply Division, Bourbon Offshore Cameroon, OIL/OSA Marine, Seacor=Seabulk, Smit-Lamnalco, etc., and that this was no chance event. In conclusion, he called on NGA's management to ensure that it continually merits PAD's confidence and business through the quality output it is known for. For its crew, the new dawn signals a new beginning and hope that, very soon, officers will emerge amongst them, thanks to NGA's diligence.

He expressed a desire to soon see a gender-inclusive crew on board, competing in their leadership quest to assume control of the Wheelhouse and plying their trade in the global dredging industry.
